TILDA SWINTON
Watch this space for NEW Activist Art
This silent performance piece speaks loudly… In "The Maybe" famous Academy Award winning and androgynous actor TILDA SWINTON slept various evenings in a vitrine in the lobby of the Museum of Modern Art in New York City. Conceived by Swinton, this provocative and brave performance (could you imagine doing this yourself?) speaks of loneliness, sure. But more subtly, it seems to address voyeurism, intrusion, even violation. Link to an amazing interview with the artist/actor - highly recommended reading.
