LISA WHITTINGTON's painting "How She Sent Him and How She Got Him Back" is based on a famous photograph of 14-year-old Emmett Till in his open coffin. As the artist explains, "2020 marks the 65th anniversary of the death of Emmett Till. Nothing much has changed. No one still has been punished for his murder. How many convictions have gone forth for the death of any Black men and women who died at the hands of racist police and the prejudice virus?  Almost none. I’m praying that this changes."
